Man electrocuted by wedding ring: Fla. man dies while installing dishwasher - Mesa Top News

A Florida man was electrocuted by his a wedding ring during a house improvement accident week that is last. Jason Ferguson, a 33-year-old man from Port Orange was helping his in-laws by installing their new dishwasher on Thursday night. His good deed in this instance was his final. Jason Ferguson went to the South Daytona home of his brother- and sister-in-law on Thursday to assist them install the new home appliance. This was not the time that is first had helped with repairs for his family. All ended up being going well during this example. The person had completed the installation, and he was testing the appliance that is new he sat down to dinner with his family around 7 p.m. that night. However, the new appliance made a strange noise, and he made a decision to investigate.

However, the person turned the charged power back on when he was done with the installation. When he decided to investigate the strange noise coming from the machine, he did not shut off the power once again.

The person's family members noticed something was incorrect immediately when they saw him leaning against the appliance. Officials with the South Daytona Police Department said the following about what the grouped family witnessed, based on the Orlando Sentinel:

Staff performed an autopsy on the man, and the man died by electrocution. His wedding band is being blamed for his death. It is believed that their wedding ring came in contact with a copper wire behind the dishwasher.

Since he neglected to make off the power again before investigating the strange sound coming from the machine, the copper wire was live when his ring came in contact with it. It was also revealed that the man was kneeling in a pool of water at the right time of the incident. The blend had fatal results for this Port Orange man.

CBS affiliate, WKMG, spoke with a known member associated with man's family after the incident, and your family member revealed which they failed to know very well what had occurred to Ferguson at first, but now the event is just "scary."
